It was fun

Christmas that is...

We started off the festivities on Christmas Eve with some chocolate chip waffles. Doesn't everyone make waffles without clothes on?? After breakfast, I stayed inside to finish wrapping presents and Kate went outside to help Clayton with some yardwork. Millie came along, too. I walked outside and saw this - thought it was pretty sweet.
Little mess.

That night, my parents came with us to our church's Christmas Eve service. Best memory of the weekend - the last song we sang was "Silent Night." Kate was sitting in my lap with Clayton beside us. We were singing and then all of a sudden we heard this sweet little voice singing with us. I almost lost it right there. Kate was a beat behind us, but it didn't matter one bit. It was quite possibly the sweetest thing I have heard in a long time. We are blessed with that one, I tell you.
After church, we went to my aunt and uncle's and I didn't take the first picture. I do have to pat myself on the back with my meal contribution - my bread pudding with whiskey sauce was highly raved. I wish I could take credit - it was all Pioneer Woman (with a few tweeks).
Christmas morning, Stinker decided to sleep in. My parents came over after they left my sister's house and Kate was still sleeping. We decided to finally wake her up to get the show on the road. She was pretty overwhelmed at first (she is not a huge fan of being woken up), but warmed right up. After everything was opened, we went outside to play with our big present. It was sprinkling, so I was glad Santa gave Kate some new rain gear.

How did this little baby get so big? She is certainly not a baby anymore. I almost can't handle it!

She loved her bike and is getting pretty good at figuring the pedals out.

Of course, "baby Parker" came along for the ride. How cute is that seat?

We then packed up and went to my parents' house for Christmas brunch. Pregnancy brain set in and I completely forgot my camera. Sister - if you read this, email me some pics that you took, please! We had a great time with family and of course, the food was nothing short of amazing. Baby Sister even got a few things, too! Kate is obsessed with wanting her to use them now... trying to get it across that we hopefully have awhile before she comes.

The hard part now... explaining to Kate that Santa isn't coming back any time soon. She keeps asking... "Why is Christmas over? Was Jesus born yet? Santa can bring me some more Hello Kitty socks if he wants to."
I hope that everyone's Christmas was as blessed as ours!
